Coleman Hawkins and Illinois are in the sweet 16 of the NCAA mens basketball tournament with their 89-63 win over Duquesne. Hawkins had 11 points for coach Brad Underwood in the win with 7 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal. The win moved the Illini to 28-8 on the season heading into next weeks sweet 16 game.
Illinois the #3 seed in the east bracket will take on the Iowa State Cyclones who are the #2 seed in the east bracket. Tip off will be at 7:09 pm EST in Boston at the TD Garden home of the Boston Celtics. The game will be aired on TBS.
