Prolific Prep of Napa Christian (CA) 2024 F Derrion Reid (Grovetown,GA) committed to the University of Alabama and 2024 PG Zoom Diallo(Tacoma, WA) committed to the University of Washington over this weekend back in their hometowns.
Prolific Prep of Napa Christian (Napa, CA) 6’7” Senior F Derrion Reid (Grovetown, GA) chose the University of Alabama over Georgia, Florida State, and others. Derrion joins Prolific Prep of Napa Christian teammate 6’11” C Aiden Sherrell as committed players to the University of Alabama in the 2024 class.
Prolific Prep of Napa Christian (Napa, CA) 6’4” Senior PG Zoom Diallo (Tacoma, WA) chose the University of Washington over the University of Arizona, Gonzaga, and the University of Southern California.
Derrion and Zoom have led their Prolific Prep of Napa Christian team to a current 16-1 record through the 1st half of the season and both have started all 17 games with Derrion leading the Crew in total rebounds and Zoom leading the Crew in Assists so far this season. Both have come up big in important wins over ranked opponents such as Dream City Christian, Link Academy, AZ Compass, and Winston Salem Christian in the 1st half of the season.
Both are elite students and have carried GPA’s of 3.65 or higher through their high school career. Derrion played AAU with Team Thad (Nike – EYBL) and had a fantastic Spring and Summer in the EYBL leading his team to the best overall record in the regular season. Derrion averaged 17.5 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 2.0 APG, during the regular season leading Team Thad to the Peach Jam. Zoom played AAU with Beauchamp Elite (Adidas – 3SSB) and had a fantastic Spring and Summer in the 3SSB league leading Beauchamp Elite in their initial season on the circuit. Zoom averaged 20.5 PPG, 5.5 APG, 4.0 APG, during his play on the 3SSB circuit.
Both Zoom Diallo and Derrion Reid are outstanding young men, extremely mature, humble, elite students, fantastic team first guys, who are awesome teammates, and have parental and family support.
