Mawot Mag a junior forward for the Rutgers mens basketball team is our Prolific Prep NCAA alumni of the week. Mawot had 10 points with 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, and a steal in the 83-61 win over LIU.
Mawot graduated from Prolific Prep of Napa Christian in 2020 and was part of a great team that had a chance to win the Geico Nationals but were shut down due to COVID19. Mawot played with Jalen Green (Houston Rockets), Coleman Hawkins (Illinois), Frank Anselem (Georgia), Jordan Pope (Oregon State), and Jack Wetzel (Valdosta St).
Mawot is a 6’7″ senior who has battled through injuries in his career at Rutgers. He is from Melbourne Australia and made an immediate impact on the 2023-24 team in his first game back from an ACL injury from last season. Mawot had 8 rebounds with four points in a big win over rival Seton Hall.
